Dr. Grace Hackett's Musical Adventure In Italy

This summer, Newark School of the Arts is abuzz with excitement as one of our esteemed voice teachers, Dr. Grace Hackett, graces the international stage at The Assisi Performing Summer Arts Festival in Italy. Known for her exceptional talent and dedication to nurturing young voices, Dr. Hackett is not only imparting her knowledge but also showcasing her own vocal prowess in a series of opera and concert performances.

Accompanying Dr. Hackett were two remarkable talents from Newark School of the Arts: Nancy Vieira, a dedicated student of Dr. Hackett, and Patricia Assan, an esteemed alumna. Their participation highlighted the strong bonds and high-caliber training at our institution, bringing pride to the NSA community.

The group also celebrated July 4th with fellow festival participants, including Dr. Bob and Artistic Director Greg Scmie. The festivities were a beautiful blend of American and Italian cultures, filled with music, laughter, and camaraderie.

Dr. Hackett's journey is a testament to the global reach of music and the power of shared artistic experiences. As we cheer her on from Newark, we are reminded of the universal language of music that connects us all. We eagerly await her return, filled with stories and inspiration to share with her students and colleagues.
