During this unprecedented time of social distancing, we are all hunkered down seeking opportunities to remain active and avoid boredom. We and our neighborhood partners have organized a poster contest that allows residents to raise awareness of public safety concerns remotely. We are inviting residents (both individuals and groups) to create a message to reduce car idling city-wide.
Contest rules
1. Participants must live or work in Newark
2. The poster must include the slogan “Reduce your emission, turn off your ignition”
3. Contestants must use material found in the home
4. Contestants are encouraged to work in groups and use recycled materials to portray their message
GRAND PRIZE WINNING POSTER WILL BE PRINTED AND DISTRIBUTED THROUGHOUT THE CITY
All participants will receive a commemorative certificate.
Submission Details:
1. Submission must include lead artist name and age
2. Submission must include list of material(s) used
3. Submission can be 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional
Submission with explicit images, language, or copywritten material will not be accepted.
