I’m so excited to announce that through the generosity of Deeanne Hunstein we will be exhibiting some of her husband’s, the late great Don Hunstein’s photos during our Black
History Month Concert. As many of you know, Don was the in house photographer for over 30 years for Columbia Masterworks during the Golden Years. Not only did Don shoot the album covers of some of the greatest artists ever, he also photographed the recording sessions. From Miles Davis, to Billy Holiday, Bernstein, Stravinsky, Horowitz, Dylan, Coltrane, Monk, Streisand and more. Don’s photos are moving, storytelling, and iconic. Deeanne will be with us to speak about Don’s relationship with many of the great artists he photographed. Please stop by early so you can enjoy these incredible photos!
